"Restroom supplies are kind of a gamble"
We’ve been using cintas for the restroom supplies at our shop, it’s been inconsistent. Sometimes they’re totally on top of it and everything is filled like it should be, which is great.

Then the next week we’ll suddenly be out of paper towels or soap before they come back, and it’s frustrating because this is the sort of thing I don’t really want to think about. I’ve called a few times to mention it, but it doesn’t always seem like the message makes it to whoever needs it.

The driver is actually really nice, so I don’t want to make it sound like the whole thing is terrible. But yeah, for what we’re paying, I expected it to be more reliable and less of a guessing game...

"Billing issue got fixed"
Had a little billing mix-up at first, which was kind of annoying, but they got it sorted out quickly. So yeah, not perfect, but… it ended up being fine.

"Decent service, but the late deliveries are getting old"
The service is fine when everything actually shows up, but we’ve had too many late deliveries lately. Some weeks, uniforms are missing, or they arrive on a different day with no notice at all. It’s not the worst experience, but it’s frustrating having to keep chasing things down. If it doesn’t get more reliable soon, we’ll probably start looking for another provider...

"Alterations were spot on"
I had a few uniforms altered here, and they came out close to the measurements I gave them. One of the shirts ended up a little tighter than I was expecting, not a huge deal, still totally wearable, but I did notice it. Pickup was easy too, which I always appreciate because who wants to deal with a hassle after getting alterations done? Overall, I’m happy with how everything turned out, just not quite perfect.

"Cabinet is mostly organized"
The first aid cabinet looks good overall, and it’s definitely easier to find what we need now. A few things still end up getting mixed together after restocking though, which feels avoidable with a little more attention.

"Kind of a hassle to order from"
I tried getting a few basic things from Cintas, but somehow most of it was either out of stock or just not available where I am. I kept checking back, and it never really felt like I got a straight answer on when anything would be ready. Maybe it’s different if you have a larger account or something, I’m not sure. For me, it just ended up feeling like a waste of time

"Safety training felt rushed"
I didn’t get much out of the safety training. It felt rushed and basic, and when you leave with the crew still asking the same kinds of questions, it’s hard to feel like it was really worth the time

"Tracking didn’t work well for our needs"
I’m sure it might be fine for a smaller setup or if you’re not relying on it too heavily, but for us the inventory tracking was inaccurate. The numbers were often off, which made reordering way more stressful than it needed to be.

"Customer service was kind of all…"
Customer service was kind of all over the place. One person I talked to was actually helpful, but then after that it took a while to hear back, which was a little frustrating. I don’t know if it was just the timing or what, but it felt like there was more back and forth than there needed to be. The issue did get fixed in the end, so that was good, but the whole process could’ve been smoother.

"I had a fire inspection done it felt..."
I had a fire inspection done it felt way too quick. The tech was in and out before I even felt like the inspection really started. He only seemed to glance at a couple spots, and I had to point out where some of the extinguishers were and ask basic questions just to understand what was going on. Maybe he knew exactly what he was doing, I don’t know, but it didn’t leave me feeling very confident. For something as important as fire safety, I expected a lot more attention and explanation. Overall, it was disappointing, and I probably wouldn’t use them again for this kind of inspection.

"Setup was fine, just slower than these things always are"
Getting started was okay overall, but like every onboarding process ever, there were a few back-and-forth emails before everything was fully sorted out. Nothing terrible or anything, I just wish it had moved a bit faster.

"Easier to adjust than I expected"
I thought it might be a little annoying to get set up, but it was actually really easy to adjust. Took way less effort than I expected, which was a nice surprise.

We use cintas mostly for safety-related stuff, the compliance docs have been weirdly reliable in the best possible way. In a world where one missing date can turn into a full-blown audit disaster, these records have been exactly where they need to be.

The documents are easy to find, the dates line up with what we need, and audits have gone from stressful ordeal to something we can actually get through without dramatic sighing in the office. I had one question about a record, and support handled it fast, which was a huge relief.

There’s not much more to say except it works, and it saves me time. For something as unglamorous but important as compliance paperwork, that feels like a big win. 5 stars from me.

"Better than I expected for work laundry"
I’ve been using Cintas for our work laundry, and it’s been a little better than I expected. The laundry usually comes back clean and ready to go, which is really all I was hoping for. We did have one small mix-up, but they took care of it quickly. Overall, I’ve been happy with the service

"Straightforward billing and helpful support"
Not gonna lie, the invoices are easy to follow, and I haven’t run into any weird surprise fees so far. I did have one small question, but support got back to me quickly and explained it clearly.

"Our mats finally look clean every week"
We’ve been using cintas for the entry mats at our shop, my gut says we made the right call. They’ve been really steady with the service, and the mats always come back clean without that weird damp smell. The floors just look a lot better, especially after the busy days when people are tracking everything in.

Pickup is fast and easy too. If one of the mats gets extra muddy, they just swap it out without turning it into a whole thing. It’s one of those services you don’t have to think about much, which I really appreciate. Happy with it so far...

"Uniforms wore out faster than I expected"
I was disappointed with the uniforms we got from Cintas. At first, they looked fine, but after a little while of regular use and normal washing, I started noticing the shirts fading and the pants getting thin way sooner than I expected.
A few seams started coming loose too, and the sizing felt inconsistent from one shirt to the next, which made things even more frustrating. For what we’re paying, I thought the quality would be much better, so this experience left me unhappy.

How do you stay in business when your business model includes ripping your customers off, increasing charges on invoices without consent.... bad!!!??

“Good Luck, they don't care about their customers, let alone non-customers. Avoid them whenever possible. Just consider yourself lucky you aren't stuck in a contract with them.”

Are there other similar companies to cintas that are less expensive or better?

“TRY ANYONE ELSE! you don't want to work with Cintas unless you want to be locked into 5 year contracts that renew automatically without notice. They increase costs without approval, don't provide services they bill for....”

“We have to remember that companies are operated by people and sometimes the people don't have the company's best interest at heart. There are some cities for all companies where there is great service and also, there are cities where bad service is the norm. The difference is the managers and whether they care or not. I suggest you find and uniform and linen managed services company such as, "Uniform Bright", who can help you with any needs you may have. There specialty is helping to prematurely and legally cancel a contract, negotiating a new one, taking you out to bid, historical bill analysis, managed services & an expert witness in the event of court or arbitration. They are not lawyers but they know how the industry works and can help you to navigate the pitfalls that are associated with deceptive practices and one-sided agreements. If dealing with a uniform and linen rental company has been a headache for you and you no longer want to deal with them, you should talk with your lawyer or hire an expert.”
